Perfect in Pink
Set in the elegant grandeur of Denton Hall, on a beautiful summers day, I was overwhelmed with the stunning historical rooms used for Alex and Sam’s wedding celebrations.
We decided on Roses, choosing varieties including Duchess, Sweet Avalanche, Pink Avalanche, Avalanche Adore, and Four Seasons. Along with the soft ripples of Lisianthus, Feathery Astilbe and dainty white Waxflower. The combination in Alex’s and her bridesmaids bouquets were just floral, feminine and perfect!
The venue was fully dressed to impress, including the pew end bunches down the aisle, the long arrangements and entrance hall urn display. It was so big it was bigger than me!
Alex designed and made music inspired table centrepieces using a melted and remoulded record into a bowl which I filled with co-ordinating pink and white flowers, topped with the table number made from a small singles record.
The cake was also very impressive. The sponge was made by Alex’s fair hands and iced to perfection by her family friend retired cake maker, Penny. The flower cascade was something Alex had set her heart on but left it in my hands to dress the cake. It looked completely befitting in the circular room. Really something spectacular and a masterpiece in my eyes!
