Reflection on the last winter of the decade!

Wow! This winter has brought me so many surprises!

My very special Christmas Wreath Workshops all sold out within 6 weeks of their launch dates and taught over 60 keen people how to craft their own traditional moss-based Christmas Wreath.  They all loved the personal tuition and attention they received from me in my Winter Workshop.

I also sold out of my 2019 designs, in ‘Traditional Reds’ with Gold foliages, my ‘Naturals’ one, where all of the decorations were from nature; dried poppyheads, grasses, statice, pheasant feathers, crespedia balls and dried limes to name just a few! And a new, but massively popular design as an alternative wreath, ‘Baildon Moor’, my take on how I see our local moors.

We’re lucky to have such beautiful countryside all around, and I love to walk and take my Cavapoo Pebbles up on the Moors. The blues and purples of the heathers and browns of the bracken & rocks were represented by Thistles, Limonium, Lavender mixed with Blue Spruce, rose gold foliages, conifer and Pine.

I also created beautiful bespoke designs to clients who had their own colour theme or just wanted to have something a bit different. This first wreath for Zac & Jen, sparked an influx of popularity for something similar to their ‘Colour Pop’ wreath. Each year, I come up with a special creation to stand out against their Yellow Door in historic Saltaire.

Everyone who took part in my workshops or bought their wreaths from me were all so happy with the luxury, quality and the real love they could see in the wreaths they or I created!

“Myself, and a group of friends attended a Wreath Workshop for our Christmas get together – what a fantastic night we had! Laura was the perfect host, and the materials and tuition were spot on! Absolutely love my Wreath, loved the whole experience and really hope we can do it again.” –
Amy, December 2019

“Just love my wreath … so proud of it too!” –
Karen, December 2019

It’s now time for a little break with my family over the Christmas Holidays after being able to completely relax with plenty of Baileys and Chocolate Orange, after working on an absolutely wonderful Winter wedding at the Crab & Lobster, Thirsk. The last wedding of my decade!

Here’s to a great 2020 for Ivy & Eve,
